The classroom that I am placed in right now has no community or classroom rules and norms. And the classroom does not function well and the students hate to participate. So I really like how this post focuses on making students feel comfortable! And I also LOVE the comment card idea as well. I did this my senior year in high school but I think that it would actually work better in lower grades.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02569660972133887056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4844650889292822230.post-38084373544411286862010-02-02T16:52:41.758-08:002010-02-02T16:52:41.758-08:00I wanted to add one more thing...I like how you in...I wanted to add one more thing...I like how you incorporated the aspect of reciprical teaching into your post. We talked about it in class and it was an important part of our reading for that day, and I just can't stress enough, how important it really is. I hope to be a teacher that isn't afraid to admit when I'm wrong, or when I don't know the answer to something. I hope that my willingness to acknowledge my faults can show my students that not only am I human, but they can teach ME, as much as I can teach them! And I mean what a great way to establish a comfortable, stress-free, SAFE, classroom community :)Rachel Forstathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02427918696893861690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4844650889292822230.post-54338928860037962352010-01-30T19:05:43.502-08:002010-01-30T19:05:43.502-08:00I LOVE that idea about the collage!
